Weald Granary Recommended Varieties for Central Storage 2019/20
Wheat:
Group 1s: Crusoe, Skyfall, Illustrious, Zyatt, Mulika, Montana
Group 2s: Cordiale, Siskin
Group 3s (soft): Any NABIM approved variety. (Scout, Claire, Invicta, Zulu popular)
Group 4s (feed) : Any NABIM approved variety. (JB Diego, Santiago, Relay popular)
If other milling varieties are delivered to store they will be batched with similar varieties but may not achieve a full premium.
Barley:
Winter Malt : Venture. (Limited potential as not an export variety)
Spring Malt : Propino, Planet
Feed : Any variety
If other varieties are delivered to store premiums maybe possible, but essentially they will be stored as feed.
Oilseed Rape: Any Variety
Beans:
Winter: Any Variety.
Spring: Fuego, Vertigo, Tundra.
Linseed: Any Variety
Peas: Any Variety (Daytona & Campus popular)
Oats: Any Variety (Dalguise & Mascani popular)
